Grouped tender of the Diputació de Girona for the energy supply with biomass in three municipalities
The Diputació de Girona, through the “Beenergi” program (Bundling sustainable energy investments for Girona’s municipalities), publishes the first tender grouped in three municipalities for the supply of renewable energy (from biomass) for the improvement of energy efficiency and reduction of emissions in the municipal buildings of Celrà, Riells i Viabrea and Sant Joan de les Abadesses.
The object of the contract is the award of three lots, of the renewable energy supply (from biomass boiler and /or heat network), for the improvement of energy efficiency and reduction of emissions in municipal buildings of the councils that have signed an agreement with the Diputació de Girona to participate in the present aggregate contract.
The total budget for the tenders is € 591,292.80 (excluding VAT) and the contracts will last four years for the municipalities of Celrà and Riells i Viabrea and fourteen and a half years for Sant Joan de les Abadesses.
Of particular note are the advantages of joint procurement, which can be very attractive to small local entities or with fewer technical and economic resources, such as ensuring greater purchasing power and a more favorable negotiating position vis-à-vis suppliers. Also, lower prices based on the economies of scale associated with the aggregation of demand and simplify the administrative process, among others.
