Extension of the Services Plan for the Promotion of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy and for the Promotion of Forest Biomass
The plenary has unanimously approved the extension of the technical assistance service to the municipalities by adding two new services to the service plan for the promotion of efficiency, energy saving and the promotion of forest biomass and other renewable energies in the Girona region . Thus, from now on, municipalities will also be offered financial advice for investments in projects of energy efficiency and renewable energies and the publication of municipal energy consumption data in an open format.
The Services Plan is part of the Beenergi program (Bundling sustainable energy investments for Girona’s municipalities), which has received funding from the European Union «Horizon 2020» research and innovation program. More than 75 municipalities have already requested this service plan.
