Presentation of «BEenerGi», European program to promote energy efficiency and renewable energies
Yesterday, July 16, “BEenerGi” (Building Sustainable Energy Investments for Girona’s Municipalities) was presented by the Diputació de Girona, the European program to promote energy efficiency and renewable energies in the municipalities of the Girona region. The presentation of the program was given by the coordinator, Anna Camp.
The Environment Head of Service, in functions, Narcís Vicens Perpinyà welcomed the attendees while the deputy of the European Programs Service, Maria Àngels Planas Crous, from the Diputació de Girona, gave the institutional welcome to the Presentation of the “BEenerGi” program, which has received the financing of the European Commission’s “Hortizó 2020” research and innovation program. «BEenerGi» was launched last April with the main objective of offering technical, legal and financial assistance for the promotion of investments in measures of energy efficiency and renewable energies in the municipalities of the demarcation. Specifically, in the areas of public lighting and municipal buildings.
The event included exhibitions by the members of the technical team of the program on contractual modalities when it comes to financing investments in sustainable energy, practical cases of investments in energy efficiency, both in public lighting and in municipal buildings in The Girona region, the installation of biomass boilers in schools in Ripoll and the bidding group of the improvement of the public lighting system of Bescanó.
Ariadna Vilà, legal technical program, presented the project “Innovative contractual schemes for the financing of investments in sustainable energy”. Eduard Batllori, energy efficiency engineer of “BEenerGi”, explained practical cases related to “Energy efficiency investments in public lighting in the counties of Girona”. The presentation of the practical cases on the “Investments in energy efficiency of public buildings in the counties of Girona” was carried out by Remei Aldrich, engineer in energy efficiency of the program.
Anna Sanitjas, Forest Engineer of the Diputació de Girona, spoke about “Strategy for the production and consumption of forestry biomass, sustainable, local and of quality”, while the industrial engineer of the Consorci Ripollès Sosteniment, Jesús Teixidor, goes Present the project «Installation of biomass boilers in the Ripoll educational centers through a contract with micro-energy service companies». The mayor of Bescanó, Pere Lluís, explained the “Bidding grouped of the improvement of the public lighting system of Bescanó by means of a contract with MESE (micro-companies of energy services)”.
