The Beenergi program of the Diputació de Girona, finalist in Brussels at the Sustainable Energy Prize of the European Union

The deputy of the Environment of the Diputació de Girona, Lluís Costabella, and the team that forms the Beenergi program attended yesterday in Brussels at the European Union’s Sustainable Energy Awards ceremony, where the The Girona program was finalist in the public sector category along with a Romanian spa rehabilitation program in Bucharest. The winner was the Swedish program “Celsius”, of knowledge exchange on heating and cooling.

The Prizes have distinguished the best community initiatives in the field of energy efficiency and renewable energies with the aim of highlighting new ways of outlining the energy future of Europe. They have been awarded in four categories: public sector, companies, consumers and energy islands
