The “Diputació de Girona” promotes municipal energy efficiency
Last May, the Plenary Session of the Provincial Council unanimously approved agreements with the town councils of Figueres, Cassà de la Selva, Fornells de la Selva and Argelaguer to process the joint contracting of actions to improve energy efficiency.
In June, the Plenary Session of the Deputation approved unanimously agreements with the councils of Amer, Bàscara, Navata, Avinyonet de Puigventós, Sant Julià de Ramis and La Bisbal d’Empordà to process the joint contracting of shares Of improvement of the energetic efficiency.
These actions will be carried out through the “Beenergi” project, which groups the investments in sustainable energy of the municipalities of Girona to achieve better conditions in the hiring.
The agreements are part of the sustainable energy plans (PAES) promoted by the European Union that aim to reduce CO2 emissions by more than 40% by 2030 as a contribution to the fight against climate change.
